As promised, here's my recipe for my ice cream cake *embarrassed* (I'll explain through my pictures) To let you all know, I am no cook/chef! I am experimenting this recipe from watching clips from You Tube. Supposedly I wanted to make a chocolate fudge but I thought I'd give it a twist. Don't worry if you really want to try it out.. it's edible! hehe :)
Ingredients:
8tbs. chocolate chips
125g salted butter
1 can condensed milk
half pint of ice cream (any flavor) -- I used vanilla
1 pack of plain biscuits
First, we are going to make a crust. Take some of the biscuits then grind them till the texture is fine. Melt the 50g of butter in the microwave for just 10 sec then mix it thoroughly together with the mashed biscuits then place it evenly at the bottom of your pan (u can use any) then set aside and put in the fridge. (I hope you got my instruction-- hehe!) I forgot to take picture ;( sorry!
Second, place the chocolate chips in a mixing bowl (microwaveable) add 75g butter then melt it together in a microwave about 20 sec or better if you check from time to time as we don't want to overcook the chocolate. In fact, I didn't mix it that well as you can see in the picture there are some air bubbles. By the way, while mixing the chocolate, gradually pour the condensed milk
Put in the fridge for about 2 hours or so until the chocolate sets in. Third, layer it with vanilla ice cream. Hopefully next time, I'll use cookies and cream instead! Tip: (always experiment :)
Place it in the freezer overnight! Remember this is ice cream recipe hehe!
Tadah! It should look like this right? hehe :) At this time, I was thinking what to place on top. Initially, I wanted to put some chocolate chips but too sweet for me. So just like any refrigerated cake, I added mashed biscuits! But it did not taste good. Next time if I have the budget I would prefer almond nuts as in any other nuts just to neutralize the sweetness of the chocolate. If you have any suggestion, please feel free to comment below :)
look at that chocolate!
Will try again next time! :)
I actually got my inspiration from this man! I loved his British accent! lol :) I cooked this fried donuts recipe twice and dang -- I got the taste of a donut but not the shape though because it was too sticky!
To be honest, I am super duper tired today from cleaning the whole house (mopping the floor, scrubbing the toilet!) and doing laundry all at the same time. At the end I treated myself with a facial mask (: Have a good weekend everyone! Oh, I love these two shots I took yesterday. Something tells me that....
